ANIMA HAI — Southern Maldives Expedition 12-23 April 2027 is a 12-day expedition for snorkellers and scuba divers exploring the remote southern atolls of the Maldives, where some of the Indian Ocean’s last healthy coral meadows remain. Travel from Malé to Fuvahmulah aboard the proven expedition vessel MV Zen by Maldives Legend, encountering sharks, rays and pelagic species while documenting reef resilience in a warming ocean. Beginning in Malé, we sail west to Ari Atoll before crossing south through Vaavu, Meemu, Laamu, Huvadhu, and Fuvahmulah—documenting ecosystems that reveal both strength and fragility. Here, reef health underpins livelihoods, culture, and tourism, even as warming seas tighten their grip.
