AQUARELA the latest production by Victor Kossakovsky takes you on an intense cinematic journey from the precarious Lake Baikal in Siberia, to the thunderous glaciers of Greenland, storm in Miami and Venezuela. The film captured at a rare 96 frames per second, ensure an experience of awe, shock and wonder. The sound of splintering ice haunts this excellent and disturbing account of collapsing glaciers, violent storms, flooded landscapes and rising sea levels. Aquarela is an absorbing and alarming spectacle, a sensory overload vision about the climate crisis, and it begins with what might be the soundtrack to the end of the world – a persistent tinkling, crackling, trickling. This is the noise of the ice melting in Greenland and Siberia.
